Wuhan Coronavirus Update
To Our Valued Customers,
I am contacting you to inform you about American Pallet’s plan to deal with the coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of our customers, vendors, and employees is our highest priority and we are taking this threat very seriously. We have taken the following measures.
Sanitation:
- On a daily basis we are using disinfectant to clean our plant and offices. Each day all work areas, public areas, bathrooms, equipment and controls, computers, light switches, doorknobs, etc. are being sanitized.
- To protect our employees we are practicing social distancing of at least 6 feet.
- Our employees have been instructed to clean their hands when they arrive to work, throughout the day, and at the end of the day. They have been instructed to avoid touching their face, nose or mouth. In addition, we have placed sanitizer throughout the facility.
- Our employees are disinfecting all of their equipment and workstations at the beginning of their shifts. If employees change to a different piece of equipment, the first step is to sanitize it.
- We have a supply of face masks and have offered them to all employees. We also have latex gloves available.
- We have encouraged all employees to use these protocols at home and develop a personal plan to limit contact with others and to protect their loved ones.
Visitors:
We have stopped all non-essential visits to our facilities. We are informing anyone coming to our facility that we are practicing social distancing of at least 6 feet. Our own delivery drivers are practicing these protocols as well and are sanitizing their hands and vehicles throughout the day.
Employee Health:
- All employees have been educated on the symptoms of coronavirus.
- Employees will not come to work if they have any of these symptoms or feel sick and will consult with a doctor and, if advised, get tested. Our team members will not be allowed to return to work if they’ve had exposure to a COVID-19 infected person until they have self-quarantined and been certified to work by a doctor. If any of our employees display symptoms of a COVID-19 infection, they will be sent home for a quarantine period.
Business Continuation:
WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS. We stand ready to supply our customers and support our vendor’s needs, providing the same service and product quality that has always been expected from American Pallet. In these times of great uncertainty, we are grateful that you have chosen to place your trust in American Pallet. All of the above measures will be monitored for compliance. We are closely monitoring this situation and will be introducing additional protocols as necessary.
